Wolfgang Fabisch, as co-founder and CEO of b-next Group, has overall strategic and operational responsibility for its businesses. With over 25 years of professional and management experience in governance, risk and compliance (GRC) for the financial sector, he is a respected industry executive who regularly lectures on these topics. Before founding b-next in 1989, Mr. Fabisch held senior positions at IBM and Reuters. He holds a university degree in business administration.

Stefan Queck

Stefan Queck is responsible for Business Development at b-next, where he leads product and customer initiatives. Upon joining b-next Group in 2006, he brought a long and distinguished professional career at two prestigious German banking institutions. Since joining b-next he has played a key role in next-generation product development as well as the company's international expansion. Mr. Queck is a graduate in business management with an emphasis in banking.

Miha Grčar

Miha Grčar is a researcher in social media and news analytics at the Department of Knowledge Technologies at JSI. In 2004, he left the company that he co-founded and got employed at JSI where he since then participated in a series of European projects (SEKT, TAO, SWING, ENVISION, FIRST, FOC…). His expertise is a mix of data mining, text mining, stream mining, machine learning, recommender systems, information retrieval, network analysis, and language technologies. He is also a skilled software developer and a co-founder of Sowa Labs GmbH, a company which aims at delivering social media analytics and big data solutions.

Christoph Böhmerle

Christoph Böhmerle is a Securities Compliance Officer at Erste Group Bank with more than 20 years of experience in securities trading. He worked over 10 years closely with customers as trader for shares and derivatives in differents banks in Austria. After spending several years in an executive position of an international software company with a focus on securities settlement, his path led back to the Erste Group Bank where now he is in charge of the implementation and the operation of the CMC compliance software in the compliance department.

Martin Porter

Martin Porter is business development director at b-next, where he is responsible for continuing business growth in the UK and international markets. With over 15 years of experience in the financial services software industry specialising in trading and investment management systems, he brings an extensive knowledge of trading compliance, trade order management, market connectivity and investment management solutions. He has also been instrumental in successful financial solution sales and implementations in a number of international locations including not only the UK and Ireland but also Germany, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, the Middle East and the USA. Mr. Porter began his career in IT as a programmer and project manager before moving to senior sales positions at SunGard, ITG and Misys.

Dr. rer.-nat. Jörg Stöcklein

Researcher // Heinz Nixdorf Institute Paderborn

Dr. Jörg Stöcklein studied computer science with a minor in mathematics at the University of Paderborn and obtained his doctorate in Mixed Reality. He taught two courses in computer science over several years and delivered a number of guest lectures in computer graphics at various universities in Germany. Since August 2012 he has been a postdoctoral fellow at the Heinz Nixdorf Institute of the University of Paderborn under the direction of Prof. Jürgen Gausemeier, working in the area of virtual prototyping, visualisation, and virtual and augmented reality.

James Cantarella

Thomson Reuters

James Cantarella manages globally the business development for the Machine Readable News products at Thomson Reuters. He joined Reuters in 2007 and worked across sales and business functions for enterprise information products, specializing in low-latency solutions before joining the team responsible for delivering quantitative and event-driven trading solutions for the Elektron platform in 2011. He focuses on growing the business and propositions globally for the News Analytics products based on Thomson Reuters awardwinning text analytics and sentiment engines as well as for News Feed Direct, the market’s fastest feed of ultra-low latency economic indicators. James Cantarella completed undergraduate and post-graduate degrees at Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Chicago in History, Comparative Literature and Cinema/Media Studies.

Adrian Guest

b-next

Adrian Guest represents b-next as Sales manager covering the EMEA region (ex DACH). He has worked in the financial services industry since leaving Portsmouth University with a degree in Financial Services and spent the last 12 years in sales positions focusing on trading and compliance technology sales at companies such as Sungard and Progress Apama. He has extensive knowledge of the trading and compliance environment bringing a wealth of experience to the b-next team.

Markus Reinhardt

b-next

Markus Reinhardt has been working for b-next since October 2009 and is responsible for the Marketing division within the company. In addition to this, he is the Project Manager for the FIRST project, which deals with the analysis of unstructured information for supporting decision-making in the finance industry. Prior to his activity with b-next, he studied business administration, particularly marketing and statistics, at the University of Bielefeld. Furthermore, he took on positions in sales during this time.
